Reminder: Network maintenance de.NBI Cloud site Tübingen

Dear de.NBI Cloud user of the de.NBI Cloud site Tübingen,
we want to remind you that we have to make some maintenance work on our network regarding Region2.
We will start them today, Monday 17.05.21 at 09:00 CEST until 20:00 CEST.
During this time you might not be able to connect to VMs running in Region2 and also the VMs might not be able to receive incoming connections or make outgoing connections.

But the VMs itself should run as usual.

Please make sure you do not transfer any data during this time or handle this otherwise to avoid any data corruption.

We will inform you as soon as the maintenance is finished.

On behalf of the de.NBI Cloud Team Tübingen,
Maximilian Hanussek

[de.NBI Cloud Bielefeld] Last Reminder: Planned Downtime

Dear de.NBI Cloud Bielefeld Users (LAST REMINDER),

the Bielefeld University is scheduling a diesel generator/power outage test on the whole building complex. These tests also afflict our cloud infrastructure. In order to protect our hardware from any unexpected power losses or power spikes, we will shut down all compute nodes during the generator tests.

Downtime schedule:
28th September 2020
10:00 – 18:00 CEST

This means, that all running instances will power-off in result. To prevent any filesystem damages or corruptions on your instances, please shut them down gracefully in advance.

We recommend to shut down instances a few hours (or one day) before the planned schedule as we will start to shut down compute nodes @ 09:00 CEST.

After the tests are done, you will be able to restart your instances again and continue your work as usual.

We will remind you about this event one week and a few days before the downtime.

Best Regards,
de.NBI Cloud Bielefeld
Jan Krüger
