[de.NBI Cloud Bielefeld – Production] Last reminder – planned downtime : Power outage tests on August 3rd 202

Dear de.NBI Cloud Bielefeld users,

Bielefeld University is scheduling its yearly diesel generator/power outage tests on the whole building complex. These tests also affect our cloud infrastructure. In order to protect our hardware from any unexpected power losses or power spikes, we will shut down all compute nodes during the generator tests.

Downtime schedule:

August 3rd 2021
10:00 – 18:00 CEST

All running instances will power off as a result. To prevent any data loss on your instances, please shut them down gracefully in advance.

We recommend to shut down instances a few hours (or one day) before the planned schedule as we will start to shut down compute nodes at 09:00 CEST.

After the tests are done, you will be able to start your instances again.

Best regards,
de.NBI Cloud Bielefeld
