[de.NBI Cloud Berlin] Service Restoration Update: SimpleVM & Shares Now Available

19.09.2025 - 07:27
Dear de.NBI Cloud Users,

We are pleased to announce that two more key services have been fully restored and are now available for use:

SimpleVM: The SimpleVM service in Berlin is back online. You can access and manage your instances at the SimpleVM portal:
https://simplevm.denbi.de/

If you encounter any problems specifically with SimpleVM, please contact the dedicated helpdesk at cloud-helpdesk@denbi.de.

Shared File Systems (Shares / Manila): The "Shares" service is also fully operational, and you should now be able to access your shared file systems. Please be aware that we only support access to shares from our "public" network.

Important Information for Web Services
For users running a public web service, we have pre-provisioned a new IP address to help restore your service.

A dedicated dmz Floating IP has been assigned to your project, which is accessible from the internet on ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS). To bring your service back online, you must assign this new dmz Floating IP to your load balancer.

Critical: This IP address has been specifically allocated for this purpose. Please do not release it from your project.

Our team is now focusing on the last major service, Kubermatic KKP. We will send an announcement once it has been restored.

Thank you for your continued patience. For issues with Shares or other general inquiries, please contact us at denbi-cloud@bih-charite.de.

Best regards,

The de.NBI Cloud Berlin Team
