[de.NBI Cloud Berlin] Final Update: All de.NBI Cloud Berlin Services Now Restored

30.09.2025 - 06:25
Dear de.NBI Cloud Users,

We are happy to announce that our Kubermatic KKP for our managed kubernetes clusters is now back online.

With this final step, all services have been restored, and the data center migration is now officially complete. We want to express our sincere gratitude for your incredible patience and understanding throughout this entire process.

To ensure all your services function correctly, please review some reminders regarding our new network structure.

Action Required (in case you have not done this yet): Delete Old Routers
To activate the new Floating IPs and ensure full network connectivity, you must delete your old routers.

In some cases, you may first need to manually detach the router's interface from your network before the router itself can be deleted.

Important: This action applies only to routers. Please do not change, detach, or delete the network interfaces attached directly to your virtual machines.

Reminder: New Floating IP Types
As a reminder, our network now uses two distinct types of Floating IPs:

Public IPs: These are only accessible from within the de.NBI Cloud Berlin environment (e.g., from other VMs, even from different projects) or via our jumphost: jumphost-01.bihealth.org.

DMZ IPs: These are for public-facing services and are directly accessible from the internet on ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS).

If you have followed all the previous steps (creating a new router, assigning new IPs, etc.) and encounter issues or you feel insecure about the procedure, please contact our support team at denbi-cloud@bih-charite.de. We understand these steps can be complex, and our team is ready to help.

Thank you again for your cooperation.

Best regards,

The de.NBI Cloud Berlin Team
