Dear de.NBI Cloud Bielefeld users,
Bielefeld University is scheduling its yearly diesel generator/power outage tests on the whole building complex. These tests also affect our cloud infrastructure. In order to protect our hardware from any unexpected power losses or power spikes, we will shut down all compute nodes during the generator tests.
The downtime/maintenance is scheduled from
August 07, 2025 - 8:00 CEST
to
August 07, 2025 - 17:00 CEST
All running instances will power off as a result. To prevent any data loss on your instances, please shut them down gracefully in advance.
If you are running important services that need to be available, please contact us.
We recommend shutting down instances a few hours (or one day) before the planned schedule as we will start to shut down compute nodes at 08:00 CEST.
After maintenance is done, you will be able to start your instances again.
