Dear users of the de.NBI Cloud Tübingen,
a few weeks ago, we announced an extensive update process. Preparations have already been completed and the first parts of our infrastructure have already been successfully updated. We originally planned a process that would have no impact on ongoing operations at all. However, we have come across some virtual machines (VMs) where we cannot update the associated hardware without stopping and restarting these VMs.
So I would like to ask for your help kindly: If you have ongoing, important computations in Region One, please let us know the affected VMs and the project name this week so we can coordinate a VM timeout with you. Otherwise, we will shut down selected VMs in Region One for a short time starting next week and restart them again.
We wish that this will not cause any inconvenience.
