Dear cloud user,
the de.NBI Cloud site Bielefeld is planning a downtime from January 2nd, 2024 to January 5th, 2024. As the _last university-wide_ last load tests revealed, the main power supply in one of the data centers must be repaired. A large part of the cloud resources is therefore unavailable during the maintenance window and running instances must be stopped for the period.
After consultation, we would migrate important public services to cloud resources that are not affected by the shutdown.
Please understand that this is only possible for a selected number of services.
If you operate an important public service that must definitely be available in the period from January 2nd, 2024 to January 5th, 2024, please write an email to os-service@cebitec.uni-bielefeld.de with the following information:
- project
- ID of the instance hosting the services.
- justification for migration
We recommend shutting down instances a few hours (or one day) before the planned schedule as we will start to shut down compute nodes @ 08:00 CEST.
