Dear cloud user,
the de.NBI Cloud site Bielefeld is planning a downtime from January 2nd, 2024 to January 5th, 2024. As the last university-wide last load tests revealed, the main power supply in one of the data centers must be repaired. A large part of the cloud resources is unavailable during the maintenance window and running instances must be stopped.
After consultation, we would migrate important public services to cloud resources unaffected by the shutdown.
Please understand that this is only possible for a selected number of services.
If you operate an important public service that must be available in the period from January 2nd, 2024 to January 5th, 2024, please write an email to os-service@cebitec.uni-bielefeld.de with the following information by December 22nd, 2023 at noon CEST:
- project
- ID of the instance hosting the services.
- justification for migration
We recommend shutting down instances a few hours (or one day) before the planned schedule as we will start to shut down compute nodes @ 08:00 CEST.
