all hypervisors are patched against "Downfall" (CVE-2022-40982) concerning Intel-based CPUs and "Inception" (CVE-2022-23825) concerning AMD-based CPUs and it is safe to restart previously stopped instances.

The de.NBI cloud Bielefeld provides new base images based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Debian 11 “Bulleye” and Debian 12 “Bookworm”. Previous base images are deactivated and can’t be used anymore.
